Winter Beauty Essentials

Now that the weather is finally starting to feel winter-like, I wanted to share some of my favorite beauty products that get me through these cold days. The mascara detailed below is so wonderful and can be found at Target stores for only $3! Additionally I love the Flower brand which I recently discovered by purchasing a lip crayon. Not only is it a fantastic product that is long-lasting and provides a wonderful color, but it also isn't tested on animals which is always a bonus. Lastly, I have a vast collection of fun nail polishes like the ones shown. I particularly love both the Essie brand as well as the Sonia Kashuk brand, which can also be found at Target! Make sure to try these fantastic products out and let me know some of your favorites in the comment section below!

Back To School Essentials: College Edition

Gold Notebook // Pink Journal // Agenda // Tote // Travel Mug // Lanyard // Pencils // Pencil Case // Pink Pen // Stapler // Key Chain

Having cute school supplies can really get your academic year off to a great start! That's why Kayla (the_preppy_diaries) and I decided to do a collab post on some of our favorites! Above are some of my definite essentials to having a productive first semester. I wouldn't be able to function without multiple traveler coffee cups and an adorable tote to carry everything around in. Additionally, my agenda is practically always attached to me. I'm a big fan of the larger Lilly Pulitzer ones because they give me plenty of space to stay organized. I hope you get as excited as I do over preppy school supplies and make sure to check out Kayla's post as well at newjerseypreppy.wordpress.com!

Summer Travels to Seattle

Last week I had such an amazing time traveling to and exploring Seattle, WA! I was able to explore Pike Place Market, The Troll, The Gum Wall, The Space Needle, The Great Wheel and many other exciting locations! Before leaving I made sure to document some of my essential packing items. Although most of the items below are apparel, I would like to point out two items in particular. The first would be one of the books that I packed for the journey, American Wife. Although I have not finished it yet, it already is such an amazing book written by Curtis Sittenfield (the author of Prep). The second item is one of the Pro Packing Cubes, which was a helpful gift given to me in anticipation of this trip. The Pro Packing Cubes come in a set of four and make packing as well as finding outfits so much simpler! I would highly recommend them for any travelers who may be reading this.

Summer Concert Series #2

Over the weekend I was able to see the amazing Hozier in concert! Even though there was some terrible rain, it was still such a great night and he was spectacular live. Below are photos of my outfit before I was completely soaked and surprisingly even my heels held up in the downpour. Additionally, I absolutely love peplum tops like the one I wore because I feel they just instantly elevate an outfit! They add a fun and flirty dimension to the outfit in comparison to the more structured necklace. Lastly, I would definitely recommend taking a purse like the one I did to any summer concert. There is nothing worse than getting a drink spilled on your favorite new bag. Check out Forever 21 for some awesome options! Enjoy!

Summer Concert Series #1

This past week I had the opportunity to see an amazing concert comprised of Train, The Fray and Matt Nathanson. All three were incredible performers and put on such a great show! Between Train coming back on for an encore performance to play Drops of Jupiter (one of my all time favorite songs) and Matt Nathanson's hilarious jokes in between catchy tunes, it was a fantastic night. Below please find the look I wore for this outdoor show and stay tuned for more concerts and their outfits as well!
